Xbox HDMI Port Replacement with PCB Trace & Pad Reconstruction

The HDMI port had been physically ripped from the motherboard, causing damage to multiple HDMI solder pads and copper signal traces on the PCB. Before a replacement HDMI connector could be installed, the damaged connections had to be repaired under a microscope.

This involved PCB trace reconstruction / jumper-wire repair, rebuilding damaged or missing HDMI signal paths and restoring electrical continuity between the HDMI connector and the motherboard circuitry. Once the damaged traces and pads were reconstructed, a new HDMI port was microsoldered to the motherboard and the connections were inspected and tested.

Xbox Deep Clean & Thermal Service

An Xbox pulls air through a fan and a dense heatsink. Over time, dust packs into the fan blades, the heatsink fins and the vents, restricting airflow so the console runs hot and loud.

The console is fully stripped down. The fan, heatsink fins, vents and case are cleaned, the old thermal compound is removed from the processor and cooling plate, fresh thermal compound is applied where needed, and the console is reassembled and tested.

My Xbox has no picture or the HDMI port is loose. Can you fix it?

Yes. We replace damaged Xbox HDMI ports and check the pads and tracks underneath. If those are damaged, we repair them under the microscope before fitting the new port.

Why is my Xbox loud or shutting down?

It is usually dust clogging the fan and heatsink, or dried-out thermal paste. A full strip-down clean and fresh thermal paste brings temperatures and noise back down.

Can you repair an Xbox that was damaged by an earlier repair?
